Have you noticed the beautiful flowers of the Crown of Gold in the Gardens? It's also called Bajool Rose - Bajool being a small town north of Gladstone, and it's amazing how much it smells like a beautiful fragrant rose. The scientific name is Barklya syringifolia. This native species is flowering at the moment. There’s a nice little tree on the corner of Young and Gin Gin Rd.
