The Friends of the Bundaberg Botanic Gardens undertake many activities to promote and support the Gardens. They are strong advocates and partners with Bundaberg Regional Council and want to provide leadership and inspire the community.

- To advocate for the protection of botanical heritage and scientific values of the Bundaberg Botanic Gardens
- To encourage a high standard of management of the Bundaberg Botanic Gardens
- To promote public appreciation of the Bundaberg Botanic Gardens
- To share knowledge of the scientific, horticultural, artistic and educational interests of the Bundaberg Botanic Gardens at a local, State, Federal and international level.
